IGISORO - A Traditional Board Game from Africa

IGISORO is a 2 player board game that belongs to the Mancala family and is traditionally played in Rwanda and Burundi, two countries in the African Great Lakes region. The game is now available as a mobile app for Android devices. The app is free to download and play.

The gameplay of IGISORO is simple yet challenging. Players take turns in picking up seeds (or stones) from their pit and sowing them in a counterclockwise direction, dropping one seed in each pit they pass, including their opponent's pit. The objective of the game is to capture as many seeds as possible and store them in the player's own pit. The player with the most seeds in their pit at the end of the game wins. IGISORO has two modes of play: Single Player and Two Players. In Single Player mode, players can practice against the computer while in Two Players mode, two players can play against each other on the same device.
